Summer Snack Ideas

Kids love fun, yummy snacks. Sometimes even mom and dad can’t resist! We want to share some of our favorite, easy snack recipes that you and your little ones can enjoy all summer! 

 

Watermelon Popsicles     

Watermelon and popsicles are creative solutions to hydrate your kids. So why not put them together? All you need to do is blend some seedless watermelon in your blender with lime juice and pour the mix into popsicle molds. These delicious popsicles can be eaten for any occasion, from sitting by the pool on a hot day to movie nights. It’s also an easy recipe, so the little ones have a blast doing it.
         
   
                 
                              

Apple Nachos 

Apple nachos are a perfect contrast between salty and sweet. A sour green apple with peanut butter and chocolate chips will do the trick. All you need is an apple of your choice cut up into thin slices, a drizzle of peanut butter, and a layer of chocolate chips. 
      
    
                         
                             

Root Beer Floats 

You can never go wrong with a classic root beer float. This is an easy and delicious drink for you and your little ones!  Scoop some ice cream into a cup, add root beer of your choice, and boom! 
    
                
                       
                                      

Veggie Cups 

Getting kids to eat veggies can be challenging, but adding a flavor twist might seem more enticing to them. All you need for this is a small cup, a dressing of your choice, and veggies! This idea is excellent for a pool party or get-together because everyone can have their own portion. 
    
   
     
                                     

Frozen Yogurt Bites 

Yogurt is always a good choice for a snack, so why not turn it into frozen dollops? All you need for this tasty treat is yogurt and fruit! Put a spoonful amount of yogurt on a pan with wax paper, and add the fruit on top. Then, place the pan in the freezer for about 4 hours or until frozen. Frozen yogurt bites are an excellent alternative to sugary sweets.

 Banana Peanut Butter Bites

Yep, you guessed it—another quick-step recipe. You will only need bananas, chocolate, and peanut butter. Cut the bananas into small slices, then put the peanut butter between 2 pieces. Then, dip them into melted chocolate and set them on a sheet of wax paper to dry. 
    
   
     
                             

Fruit Popsicles 

Fruit is always a good way for summer snacks, but why not make it better by putting it in popsicle form? This easy treat can be for everyone! All you need to do is add some fruit into popsicle molds and add coconut water or lemonade. Place them in the freezer, wait a couple of hours for them to freeze, and enjoy!
      
 
             
            

Pineapple Ring Popsicles 

The acidity of pineapple can make pretty much anything taste good. For this yummy treat, all you need are pineapple rings and toppings of your choice! Put some skewers through the rings, add your toppings, then freeze!
